Massagical was founded in early 2005 by Sally Tompkins, a UK-trained Naturopath and Homeopath.
Recognising a need
Sally's years of practice in the health industry, initially in the UK and later in New Zealand, clearly demonstrated the need for quality home-based massage therapy at affordable prices. While electronic massage equipment had been available in Asia for some time, it was not until Sally began importing and selling direct to the consumer that the technology became both readily available and affordable to us here in New Zealand.
From sore feet to a thriving business
A previous career in the hospitality industry overseas had clearly demonstrated to Sally the toll long hours spent standing take on podiatric health and comfort. Having purchased a Big Foot for her personal use, she found the benefits of intelligent therapeutic foot reflexology extended far beyond the relief of sore feet. She enjoyed enhanced circulation, a decrease in overall fatigue, and whole-body relaxation, improvements which continued with regular use ? all in the comfort of her own home, and within the confines of a busy and demanding lifestyle.
It was a small step from improving her own lifestyle to that of others. Within a short time Sally had imported a shipment of massage products to New Zealand and was distributing to an increasing number of satisfied clients, promoting them not as an alternative to a hands-on practitioner, but as an integrated, affordable and easily accessible home massage system.

The results Sally's many satisfied clients experienced spoke for themselves. Massagical grew and expanded, and now offers a wide range of top quality health-promoting massage equipment nationally, exhibiting at festivals and shows country-wide as well as selling from Sally's Christchurch home and via the Internet.
